Brittany Nelson is a criminal defense and a family law attorney.
Prior to joining Buczeck Carpenter Ms. Nelson practiced with the Virginia Indigent Defense Commission as a Public Defender where she handled cases that include, but are not limited to, reckless driving, assault and battery, and violation of protective orders. She believes in holistic representation and fights tirelessly to ensure clients receive quality representation.
Ms. Nelson is a United States Army Veteran who has served as a Military police officer while deployed in Kuwait giving a voice through a lens of justice. She values advocacy a theme that is demonstrated throughout her career. She is fulfilled when she is serving her community through civic and social efforts. As a Richmond, VA native she enjoys taking part in the art, history, and culinary experiences the region has to offer.
